Grade 00000 (Tiny Tots) – Orange Group
The Tiny Tots class is the youngest age group at Dolphin-Coast Pre-Primary. The children range between the ages of 12 months and 24 months. There is a qualified teacher and a Teacher’s Assistant at all times in the classroom. The maximum number of children that will be accepeted into the class is 10.
Our day consists of morning indoor free play, outdoor freeplay, snacktime, nap time and structured time. Structured time comprises music and movement, art, drama and sensory play.
The learners have the choice to join Playball as extra mural, if their parents are interested.
Grade 0000 – Green Group
Our grade 0000 children are between the ages of 2 – 3 years. There is a qualified Teacher and Teacher’s Assistant in the classroom who are both First Aid qualified. The maximum number of children accepted for this class is 15. Our lessons are approximately 10 minutes long.
Our Grade 0000 daily programme includes: Exploring Music by learning about quality of sounds; Functional Movement (PE) exploring locomotion, ball skills, hand eye co -coordination; Expressive Movement / Dance – how to use the body in space; Drama – fantasy play, role playing; Emotional & Social Well Being; Language & Literacy; Numeracy – counting
Grade 000 – Red Group
Welcome to our vibrant Red Group for children aged 3 to 4 years old! With a maximum of 24 children per class, our nurturing environment ensures every child receives individual attention and care.
Our daily programme is designed to spark curiosity and foster holistic development through engaging, age-appropriate activities. Lessons are short and sweet, about 15 minutes each, keeping our little ones captivated while learning.
What we offer:
– Music & Movement: Exploring rhythm, locomotion, and ball skills to build
coordination and confidence.
– Creative Expression: Dance, drama, fantasy play, and role-playing to ignite
imagination.
– Social & Emotional Well-being: Activities that encourage empathy, sharing, and

– Numeracy: Fun counting games to develop foundational math concepts.
Each class is led by a qualified teacher and a teacher assistant, both first-aid trained,

Grade 00 – Yellow Group
Welcome to our Yellow Group, specially designed for children aged 4 to 5 years old! With a class size capped at 22 learners, we ensure a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Our daily programme is packed with exciting activities and 20-minute lessons tailored to keep young minds engaged while fostering essential developmental skills.
What we offer:
– Music & Movement: Developing coordination through locomotion, ball skills, and hand-eye activities.
– Creative Arts: Dance, drama, fantasy play, and role-playing to nurture imagination
and self-expression.
– Social & Emotional Growth: Activities that promote confidence, teamwork, and
emotional intelligence.
– Language & Literacy: Strengthening communication, vocabulary, and storytelling abilities.
– Numeracy: Interactive counting and problem-solving activities to build early math
skills.
Led by a qualified teacher and a teacher assistant—both certified in first aid—our Yellow Group provides a safe and enriching space for your child to learn, grow, and shine.
Grade R – Blue Group
Grade R at Dolphin Coast Pre-Primary provides the children wiith the foundation to launch them into primary school armed with confidence and the knowledge and skill sets they need.
The CAPS curriculum provides a framework for learning in the areas of Literacy, Numeracy and Life Skills. Our utilisation of the Time 2 Read Programme introduces the children to phonics in a fun and meaningful way and ensures a smooth transitionto many primary schools in the area who us the same programme. Thematic activities give the children the opportunity to engage with and experience the world.
The maximum number of children in the Grade R class is 24.
